One of our most popular local attractions in Penzance is the much acclaimed Penlee House which is currently showing an exhibition that celebrates Penzance's 400th anniversary as it gained its Charter of Incorporation in May 1614.
"Explore the changing face of Penzance with view to it's fascinating history. The key figure is Penzance -born Humpry Davy (international renowned scientist & inventor), also using paintings, photographs and artefacts to tell the history. Including more less well known figures who are central to the towns history and quirky facets of our fascinating municipality, from its earliest origins to significant events in Living memory."
